Biological Science Technician (Wildlife)

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. FOR THE GS-04 LEVEL:
Applicants must have 6 months of general experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to GS-3. This experience is typically in, or related to, the work of the position being filled and 6 months of specialized experience that demonstrates:
Identifying North American wildlife species using field identification guides, expertise, and related methods in support of wildlife damage management efforts. Recognizing habits, characteristics, and habitats occupied by a variety of wildlife species Inspecting and surveying areas with the ability to recognize various wildlife. Working with various 4X4 vehicles, ATVs, small gasoline engine operation, hauling and backing trailers, and horsemanship. Preparing reports regarding activities, observations, events, and other relevant data collected. OR Successful completion of 2 years of study above high school that included at least 12 semester hours in any combination of courses such as biology, chemistry, statistics, entomology, animal husbandry, botany, physics, agriculture, or mathematics. At least 6 semester hours of courses must be directly related to wildlife. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for this grade level. TRANSCRIPTS are required if:

This education must have been successfully completed and obtained from an accredited school, college, or university COMBINATION OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE AT THE GS-04 GRADE LEVEL:
Applicants may have combinations of successfully completed education and specialized experience to meet total qualification requirements. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for that grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
