Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of a(n) Maintenance Worker Leader without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to Lead or Supervise - Perform common range operations, maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and equipment operation. I can answer workers questions regarding procedures, policies, and written instructions. Provide information to supervisor on status and progress of work. Complete plumbing work on buildings, carpentry work on targets and markers and perform minor mechanical work on pop-up targets at ranges. Complete minor electrical repair on buildings. Accomplish maintenance on a variety of target equipment. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)Ability To Lead or SuperviseAbility To Use and Maintain Tools and EquipmentKnowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.Knowledge of MaterialsTechnical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic)Use of Measuring Instruments PHYSICAL EFFORTS:
The work requires frequent standing, bending, crouching, kneeling and climbing. May work on ladder, scaffolds or platforms and where the parts of systems worked on are in hard to reach places. Frequently lift and carry tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally items weighing more with assistance of material lifting devices or other workers. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Maintenance work is normally performed outside with exposure to wide variations in weather and temperature. Incumbent is exposed to potential injury from power tools and danger from flying objects, cuts and scrapes, is expose to traffic hazards while driving on both improved and unimproved road surfaces. There is exposure to insect, spider and snakebites.
