Position Summary

Admissions Representative is responsible for directing patients and/or relatives, visitors, and promoting positive guest relations. Responsible for the Admissions/Registration, Pre-Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers of patients. Accurately obtains demographic and insurance information while collecting or making financial arrangements on co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay accounts. Obtains insurance authorizations and/or pre-certifications and verifies insurance coverage and benefits. Assists with the development and implementation of the department's Performance Improvement Plan.


Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum Education:
      High School Diploma or GED.

    • Minimum Experience:
      Five year s experience conducting prior authorizations, insurance benefit verifications and strong knowledge of medical terminology.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
