Summary:
Along with the Director of Business Development, the Assistant Director of Business Development will establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all current customers and potential customers.
The ability to work as part of a team while maintaining the ability to be self motivated and independent is critical for the successful candidate.
The Assistant Director of Business Development supports the mission of Tresco through consistent and frequent interfacing with customers, proposal development and quality assurance of contract performance and compliance.
Tresco obtains and performs federal, state, and commercial contracts with the goal of employing people with a wide array of disabilities and providing supports and services to families in our communities.
Qualifications:
Education:
bachelor's degree in business administration, Public Administration, or related field and 5 years demonstrated leadership and development of government contracts and/or government programs or education and experience totaling 9 years.

Organize own work, coordinate projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow-up on assigned projects in a self-directed manner with a minimum amount of supervision and direction.
Serve as a role model by exemplifying professional behavior while promoting Tresco's Mission, vision, Values and Code of Ethics.
Provide leadership and representation of the Department of Business Development in the absence of the Director as directed.
Manage multiple requests at the same time and demonstrate the ability to critically think and bring multiple perspectives to all situations.
Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all customers including Contracting Officers (KO/CO), Contracting Officer Representative (COR), Point of Contact (POC) etc.
Develop and maintain relationships with customer purchasing agents, POC's and contracting officers.
Develop and maintain relationships with state and national BD departments with the State Use and AbilityOne programs to include Horizons and Source America.
Provide input regarding contractual requirements for QA plan, working with Quality Compliance Manager.
Ensure continuity with Policies & Procedures and specific contract requirements.
Provide feedback to Directors regarding changes in annual contracts.
Develop new contract pricing proposals for federal, state, commercial and other opportunities.
Develop renewal pricing for all current contracts, subcontracts, and state pricing agreements.

Ensure proposal development and contract renewals are completed in a timely manner.
Communicate with Directors regarding potential contracts, potential new lines of business, proposal progress, and status of renewals.
Assist in the process to ensure contractual documents are current such as:
Certificate of Liability Insurance, Contract, Pricing Worksheets, Proposals, Scope of Work, Licensures, Certificates and sub agreements.
Assist in thew Maintain records and documents for all subcontractors as part of the contracting process to include but not limited to, subcontractor agreements, COI's for Tresco and subcontractors, quotes, and pricing proposals from subcontractors.

Assist in the creation and help maintain database(s) to track contracting efforts for new opportunities as well as renewal effort document submission/collection and subcontracting.

Review and identify various publications for new opportunities such as Source America, State Purchasing, Bidnet Direct, etc.
15.
Develop contracting on-boarding meetings and oversee the development of a new contract for the first month with various staff and departments within Tresco.
Participate in Community Outreach events and opportunities for potential community partnering.
Attend State Use Committee Meetings and other similar meetings and conferences to represent the Business Development efforts for Tresco.

Attend and participate in ongoing training at federal and state levels to stay abreast of current trends and new processes for contract proposals and management.
18.
Create and work with Director of Business Development on our strategic planning around our business development opportunities both geographically and type of work to diversify revenue streams.
Assist the Director of Business Development regarding CIMS certification and other compliance and quality certifications that pertain to Tresco services.
Visit potential sites for opportunities for Federal, State, Commercial and Private contractual growth to include rural areas in NM.

Rate of Pay:
$57,000 - $62,000 per year DOE.
