Why does the job exist? The Office Clerk, General - Advanced will:
Manage the employer database on The Child Support Enforcement System (CSES); Process the high volume employer related returned mail such as termination notices of different sorts, bad address or correspondence from employers; Ensure the Child Support Enforcement Division (CSED) staff is using current employer data for obtaining employment verification and submitting wage withholding orders by processing employer update/add requests from the customer service center and CSED staff.
How does it get done? The Office Clerk, General - Advanced is responsible for:
Processing employer update/add requests from the customer service center and CSED staff; Researching and creating new employer records in CSES or updating existing employer data on CSES provided by various interfaces; Providing accurate employer records to CSED staff within five (5) business days; Processing high volume employer related termination notices and correspondence of different sorts on a monthly basis within the first three weeks of the month; Researching and processing returned mail based on bad employer addresses; Suppressing turnaround documents if an employer is no longer in business to avoid unnecessary mail being sent.
Who are the customers? Both internal and external customers including custodial and non-custodial parents; CSED Central Office staff; Other division/department management; CSED field office staff.
Ideal Candidate The Ideal Candidate has:
Three (3) years general office or customer service experience; Excellent customer service skills.
Minimum Qualification High School diploma or Equivalent and three (3) months experience in office administration and/or customer service.
