82 an hour 9 hours ago 9 hours ago 9 hours ago Technica LLC seeks to recruit for the position of Ground Support Equipment Worker (ATEC UME) on a Government contract with a place of performance at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM.
Position
Summary:
Use applicable references, Army Technical Manuals (paperback or IETMs), while performs preventive maintenance/ repairs on power generation equipment, tactical utility, precise power-generation sets, internal combustion engines, and associated equipment.
Generators include but not limited to:
Small Generators:
2kW Military Tactical Generators (MTG), 3 kW Tactical Quiet Generators (TQG), Small Tactical Electric Power (STEP); Medium Generators:
5, 10, 15, 30 and 60 kW TQGs; Advanced Medium Mobile Power Sources (AMMPS), trailer-mounted Power Units and Power Plants; Large Generators:
100-200 kW TQGs, Large Advanced Mobile Power Sources (LAMPS); 840kW Deployable Power Generation and Distribution System (DPGDS); Power Distribution:
Power Distribution Illumination System Electrical (PDISE) and Management and Distribution Control Units.
Uses complex electronic test instruments, computer based diagnostic equipment and load banks.
Assists with routine and scheduled maintenance and repairs on portable heaters, air conditioning units, wheeled vehicles, trailers and/or other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Lead.
Basic
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of models and sized Civilian generators as well as Tactical Generators, Tactical Quiet Generators, Small Tactical Electric Power, Advanced Medium Mobile Power Sources, Trailer-mounted Power Units and Power Plants, Large Advanced Mobile Power Sources, Deployable Power Generation and Distribution System and Power Distribution Illumination System Electrical.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Prior military experience in Military Occupational Skill (MOS) 91D.
Defense contracting experience inspecting and repairing for military generators.
Knowledge in completing necessary documentation such as DA Forms 2404/5988E Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet, DA Form 2407 Maintenance Request, DA Form 2407-1 Maintenance Request Continuation Sheet, and other applicable DA/DoD forms.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Must be able to stand for a minimum two continuous hours.
Must be able to climb on equipment in able to perform inspections and repairs.

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, and snow and sleet.
Must be able to pick up and move items up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to Climb and work on equipment at 10 feet above ground limits.
Must be able to wear Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) during working hours (Safety boots, Glasses, Gloves, etc).
Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
Able to work past normal hours as mission dictates.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
