Quick Apply Full-time 13 hours ago Full Job Description A large IPP is looking for a Solar Operations and Maintenance Technician II to help perform operations and maintenance activities within a defined facility or set of facilities.
The ideal candidate has previous experience in electrical maintenance on photovoltaic systems or industrial equipment.
You will:
? Be responsible for planning performance of electrical tasks within DC, AC, and MV systems on a utility scale solar facility.
? Perform basic electrical testing and repairs using industry standard practices.
The Job ? Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance and repair work on substations, UPS, battery back-ups, and SCADA systems.
? Perform testing using IV Curve Tracers, Power Quality Meters, Insulation Resistance Testers, Multimeters, and other equipment as needed.
? Assist management with field investigations to support predictive analytics, root cause analysis and serial defect reports.
? Provide subject matter expertise and mentoring to junior O&M Technicians in electrical systems and safety.
? Assist in creating and reviewing preventative and corrective maintenance SOP's.
Education & Experience ? 3
years of experience working in electrical maintenance including apprenticeships.
? OSHA 10 required ? Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E and OSHA standards.
? State electrical license or NABCEP certification preferred.
? Experience with MV/HV systems, SCADA systems, Inverters, T&D systems, Substations, or other specialized electrical system especially with solar systems is highly preferred.
